Other Properties

BP: 60 deg C at 0.50 mm Hg

beta-Hexachlorocyclohexane is a photolysis product of lindane.

Sublimes at 297 deg C

The transformation of benzene hexachloride (BHC) isomers alpha-, beta-, gamma-, and delta-, in aqueous solution was studied at 25 + or - 1 deg C for 4 wk using GLC. Results indicated a loss and interconversion of all isomers with time.

Henry's Law constant = 4.4X10-7 atm-cu m/mole at 23 deg C

Hydroxyl radical reaction rate constant of 5.7X10-11 cu cm/molecule-sec at 25 deg C (est)
